Electric car sales in Europe up 41 percent in the first half of 2026
From January through August 2026, 41 percent more fully electric cars were sold across Europe than during the same period in 2025. Germany and France are the main drivers of this growth. Among European automakers, BMW currently holds the largest market share for electric cars.
