Schaeffler to cut almost 3,500 jobs

Automotive supplier Schaeffler plans to cut around 2,660 jobs in Germany and a further 800 positions in the rest of Europe. The measure is part of a 'cost improvement programme' aimed at saving Schaeffler around €300 million annually. The austerity drive is also related to electromobility.
