Thailand drastically increases tax on EV imports

Thailand is drastically increasing the consumption tax on imported EVs from 2027, raising it from 10 and 15 per cent to a uniform 35 per cent. The government aims to curb vehicle imports from China and encourage foreign manufacturers to establish their own factories and create jobs in the country.
