UK government pledges £100m to cut public EV charging costs
The funding, which was included in the 2026 Autumn Budget, aims to lower charging prices for drivers who use 'local, lower-powered' chargers such as those installed on lampposts or pavements. The money will be distributed over the course of two years, starting from spring 2027.
