Zeolite-catalysed olefin carbonylation based on tuning spatial confinement

Nature, Published online: 21 October 2026; doi:10.1038/s41586-026-11183-2 The use of zeolites with an appropriate pore structure combined with a high CO/olefin ratio is shown to catalyse olefin carbonylation and produce primary and secondary carboxylic acids as the main products.
