General Motors is closing its battery assembly plant in Michigan. The Brownstown Battery Assembly Plant produced battery packs for Cadillac's electric flagship, the Celestiq, as well as electric motors and batteries for the plug-in hybrid Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray.
