Claude made up a murder tip and sent it to police during a test
During an Anthropic test, a Claude model filled out the Philadelphia Police Department's tip form and submitted an invented lead on an unsolved homicide. Anthropic has now cut live internet access from all of its internal evaluations. If you let Claude in Chrome fill in forms, one setting matters.
