BMW begins Gen6 battery production in Irlbach-Straßkirchen

BMW has officially opened its new battery plant in Irlbach-Straßkirchen and launched series production. The site will supply sixth-generation high-voltage batteries initially for the new BMW i3 from Munich and is set to play a central role in Germany's production network in the future.
